SpeedBox 1.5 B.Tuning for Bosch provides a unique connection between your e-bike and your smartphone, and allows you to deactivate the e-bike´s speed limiter.
Real speed and other ride data will be displayed correctly in our SpeedBox App – directly on your phone screen.
How does SpeedBox 1.5 B.Tuning for Bosch work?.
To activate all SpeedBox functions correctly, once the e-bike is turned on with the SpeedBox installed, you must access the wheel circumference value in the menu if your e-bike has older firmware.
Tuning must always be activated/deactivated before riding, never during the ride!.
This chip is also very easy to use.
You can activate SpeedBox 1.5 B.Tuning either via the mobile app or on the bike´s display.
The e-bike display will briefly show 3.5 km/h (2.2 mph) – from that moment on, you can ride at a speed of 35 km/h.
You can change the default speed limit to any value (up to 99 km/h), but to minimize the risk of error codes, we recommend not exceeding 35 km/h.
To deactivate the chip function, re-enable the WALK function (press and hold the ´´-´´ button).
The display will show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph), and the default 25 km/h speed limit will be restored.
The e-bike will operate just as it did before the chip was installed.
We´ve also considered e-bikes that don´t have the WALK function available or activated.
In that case, you can activate or deactivate tuning by switching between two modes twice, using the button sequence:´´- + – +´´.
Tuning must always be activated/deactivated before riding, never during the ride!.
When you launch the SpeedBox App for the first time, you will be asked to set a PIN.
You will use this PIN each time you run the app.
After setting the PIN, you will also be asked to set a service password, which you can use in case you forget the PIN or wish to change it.
Changing the Maximum Assisted Speed.
You can change the maximum assist speed again by switching modes from TURBO down three levels and back up three levels.
eMTB – TOUR+ – ECO – TOUR+ – eMTB – TURBO.
The current speed limit will then be shown.
To change the speed, briefly press the WALK button or rotate the wheel 360°.
A display of 2.5 km/h corresponds to a 25 km/h limit, 3.5 to 35 km/h, etc.
The last speed limit shown will be saved after 15 seconds of inactivity.
Important:End of Ride Procedure.
When using SpeedBox, the e-bike must remain powered on after the ride until the display shows a constant 0.0 km/h.
During this phase, the screen will show the remaining countdown time.
After that, the bike can be turned off safely and you´ll be ready for your next ride.

The SpeedBox App, designed specifically for the SpeedBox 1.5 B.Tuning for Bosch, uses Bluetooth technology to connect your e-bike to your phone.
After downloading the app and pairing your phone with your bike, you can view real-time data and ride parameters directly on your phone screen.
This allows you to save trip data, compare results with friends, and track your performance — so you can enjoy the ride and review the stats later.

The operation of the SpeedBox 1.5 B.Tuning chip does not depend on using the SpeedBox App — however, the app is a great accessory that gives you full insight into your performance.
We recommend downloading the SpeedBox App to your phone before purchasing the SpeedBox 1.5 B.Tuning chip.
You can test the demo version, explore all the features, and make sure the app works correctly on your phone.
To connect to the chip, your phone must support Bluetooth version 4.0 or higher.
Installation.
To connect the SpeedBox chip to an e-bike, we use color-coded connectors with a locking key for proper connection — making the installation very simple.
You can download instructions or watch videos that guide you through the installation.
Removing the chip is just as easy as installing it.
If you have any connection issues, don´t hesitate to contact us.
If you´re installing SpeedBox on a new e-bike, you must first ride at least 10 kilometers on it.
Important.
Connect the male and female connectors in the direction of the lock.
Do not twist the connectors during connection!.

For longer breaks, allow at least a partial countdown.
After a long ride, the countdown may take several minutes.
Do not turn off the display until the countdown is complete.
