SpeedBox 1.3 B.Tuning for Bosch provides a unique connection between your e-bike and your mobile phone, allowing you to deactivate the speed limiter of your electric bike.
The actual speed and other riding data will be correctly displayed in our SpeedBox App – directly on your phone screen.
How does SpeedBox 1.3 B.Tuning for Bosch work?.
To properly activate all SpeedBox features, after turning on your e-bike with the SpeedBox installed, you need to enter the menu and access the wheel circumference value if your e-bike has older firmware.
Tuning activation/deactivation must always be done before riding, not while riding!.
Additionally, this chip is very easy to use.
You can activate the SpeedBox 1.3 B.Tuning chip via the mobile app or the e-bike display.
The display briefly shows 3.5 km/h (2.2 mph), and from that moment, you can ride at a speed of 35 km/h.
You can change the default speed limit to any value (up to 99 km/h), but to minimize the risk of error codes, we recommend not exceeding 35 km/h.
To deactivate the chip function, reactivate the WALK function (press and hold the ´´-´´ button).
The display will show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph), and the 25 km/h speed limit will be re-enabled.
The e-bike will function just as it did before the chip was installed.
We´ve also considered e-bikes that do not have the WALK function available or active.
In this case, you can activate or deactivate the tuning by switching twice between two modes, i.e., the button sequence ´´- + – +´´.

When you launch the SpeedBox App for the first time, you´ll be asked to set a PIN.
You´ll use this PIN every time you open the SpeedBox App.
After choosing a PIN, you´ll also be asked to set a service password, which you´ll use if you forget the PIN or want to change it.
You can change the maximum assist speed again by switching modes from TURBO down three levels and then back up three levels.
eMTB – TOUR+ – ECO – TOUR+ – eMTB – TURBO.
The current speed limit will then be displayed.
To change the maximum speed, briefly press the WALK function or rotate the wheel 360°.
Display 2.5 km/h = 25 km/h limit, 3.0 = 30 km/h, 3.5 = 35 km/h, etc.
The last displayed limit is saved after 15 seconds of inactivity.
When using SpeedBox, the e-bike must be turned on after finishing your ride until the display shows a constant 0.0 km/h.
During this phase, the screen will show the remaining countdown time.
Afterwards, you can safely turn off the bike and look forward to your next ride.

The SpeedBox App, specially designed for SpeedBox 1.3 B.Tuning for Bosch, uses Bluetooth technology to connect your e-bike to your smartphone.
After downloading the app and connecting your phone to the bike, you can view real-time data and riding parameters on your phone screen.
This allows you to save ride data, compare with friends, and track your own performance.

However, it is a great accessory that gives you a complete overview of your performance.

You´ll test the demo version, explore all features, and ensure the app works correctly on your device.
Your phone must have Bluetooth version 4.0 or higher to connect to the SpeedBox 1.3 B.Tuning chip.
Installation.
To connect the SpeedBox chip to an e-bike, we use color-coded connectors equipped with keys for proper connection, making installation very easy.
You can download the instructions or watch videos to guide you through installing SpeedBox.
Removing the chip is as easy as installing it.
If you encounter any connection issues, don´t hesitate to contact us.
If you want to install SpeedBox on a new bike, you must ride at least 10 kilometers on it first.
Important.
Connect male-female connectors in the direction of the lock.
Do not twist the connectors during connection!.

During short breaks, to continue riding smoothly, we recommend keeping one foot on the pedal to avoid triggering the countdown.
For longer breaks, at least partial countdown time should be allowed.
After a long ride, the countdown may take several minutes.
Do not turn off the display until the countdown is complete.

We do not recommend updating your e-bike´s software.
