The rim is designed with a 40mm high and 26mm wide NACA rim profile, specifically designed for all-purpose performance on flat or rough terrain. The new rim base shape makes it easier than ever to mount tubeless and tubeless tires. Riding UST Tubeless means there´s no tube, so no friction, and more air volume means a smoother ride. The result is a faster ride with very low rolling resistance.
Refined spokes make these wheels 80g lighter than their predecessor, the Cosmic Pro Carbon UST. Combined with our new Infinity hub platform, which makes them fast and responsive through every corner, they are stiffer and more efficient.
The Cosmic SL 40 is designed specifically for rim brakes. Our proven iTgMax technology includes a patented laser treatment of the braking track that shortens braking distance in both dry and wet conditions, while a special lamination and heat treatment process makes it the strongest and most durable carbon rim for braking. of tire. They are available for Shimano cassettes, and convert to Campagnolo and SRAM XD-R with optional hubs.
