At its core, the Protheon XT features a robust construction using a reinforced rip-stop fabric, designed to withstand the harshest conditions. This advanced material provides exceptional resistance to tears and punctures, making it ideal for anglers who push the limits. The wader employs a strategic layering system for optimal performance: a lightweight, 3-layer breathable laminate on the upper trunk ensures maximum mobility and comfort, while a heavy-duty 5-layer system from the waist down to the ankles provides superior protection and durability where you need it most. Every seam is meticulously made watertight and secured with premium Japanese-made seals, guaranteeing you stay completely dry.
Functionality is key in the Protheon XT’s design. For convenient storage of essential gear, the chest is equipped with pockets featuring high-quality YKK water-repellent zippers, perfect for items you need to access quickly. (Attention: These pockets are water-repellent, not fully waterproof). An additional interior pocket with a secure zipper closure provides a safe spot for more sensitive items.
Comfort and fit are fully customizable. The adjustable elastic straps ensure a snug yet comfortable fit on the shoulders, eliminating sag and allowing for unrestricted movement when casting or walking. A standout feature is the innovative conversion system; by connecting the male/female hooks on the chest, the wader can be folded down to the waist and the straps cleverly transform into a belt for warmer days or for when you’re taking a break from the water.
